In recent years, more and more people have discovered the beauty of the eastern part of the Baltic Sea and fallen in love with this region. For this reason, we are delighted to present our sailing programme for 2024, which explores this enchanting area.
More information
Our journey starts in Kiel Holtenau, a picturesque old fishing village directly at the lock of the Kiel Canal (NOK). From here we set off to explore "Our South Sea", as the Danes affectionately call this fascinating mixture of endless sandy beaches, shimmering chalk cliffs, countless islands and colourful harbours with charming houses. The barque Artemis will be your vessel to explore this beautiful world.

The exact route will of course be decided at short notice depending on the wind and weather, but our aim is to sail around Zeeland and also visit the fascinating capital city of Copenhagen. Here you will have the opportunity to discover one of Europe's most impressive cultural metropolises. You can visit the majestic Amalienborg Palace, admire the famous "Little Mermaid" or take a leisurely stroll along Nyhavn, where you will encounter pretty gabled houses and a variety of restaurants.

On the way to Copenhagen, we also hope to call at the enchanting island of Samsø. This island is often referred to as the sunshine island of Denmark. The picturesque villages and natural beauty of Samsø offer you the possibility to explore and relax.

We invite you to join us on this exciting sailing voyage and experience the wonders of the eastern Baltic Sea. Together we will create unforgettable memories that will deepen your love of sailing and the beauty of this region.

Note: Wind and weather conditions can significantly affect the trip. If unforeseen circumstances make it necessary, changes may be made to the itinerary.

Luggage list

  1. It is advised to travel with a travel bag instead of a hard suitcase, since it is better to stow.
  2. A passport, if you need it for the planned trip. Otherwise an identity card is sufficient. (Inform yourself in advance)
  3. Oilskins are not necessary, but a good rainproof jacket, rain trousers and sturdy shoes are always good. Be it for hiking, cycling or helping on deck.
  4. Don't forget sunglasses, a sun hat or cap and sun cream, even when the sun is not visible you can get quite burnt.
  5. A good book for a bit of solitude or a good parlour game to play together with your fellow sailors.
  6. A camera! So that you can capture your memories and share them with those at home.
  7. Cash, because here you can only pay your drinks bill in cash. But also think about the currency of the country you are travelling to so you can buy a souvenir.

Tips

Good to know: Would you like to travel alone and not share a cabin? Then you can book a single traveller supplement, which corresponds to the normal travel price + 50%.
