More information
Harlingen: The perfect starting point for your trip
Embarkation is on Friday evening at 7 pm. During the day, it is worth visiting the town of Harlingen. You can of course leave your luggage on board beforehand. From the port of Harlingen, you can easily reach the center of the charming Frisian port town. Harlingen, also known as “Little Amsterdam”, impresses with its canals and historic warehouses. In the center, cozy stores and restaurants invite you to linger. Several museums also offer interesting insights.

Your sailing adventure begins
After embarking, you will enjoy a delicious dinner and get to know the crew and other guests. The captain will discuss the route and the weather forecast with you. The next morning it's “Cast off!” - Your sailing vacation begins. At the beginning of the trip, the ship sails across the Wadden Sea. A first stop is planned on one of the Dutch Wadden Islands, such as Terschelling or Texel. From there, the Antigua sails in a north-easterly direction. Sailing at sea is always an unforgettable experience. You are cordially invited to join the watch - voluntarily, of course!

Discover the impressive Heligoland
The aim is to visit the impressive Heligoland with its fascinating nature, the red rocks and the famous Lange Anna. Enjoy relaxing walks, fresh sea air and the variety of seabirds - an unforgettable experience.

Arrival in Hamburg: farewell and harbor birthday
On Wednesday, the Antigua sails up the Elbe estuary. It is always an impressive experience to sail into one of the world's largest ports on a tall ship. On arrival, there are certainly many other tallships to admire. On Thursday morning, after breakfast, it is time to say goodbye to the crew and your fellow sailors. Perhaps you will stay a little longer in Hamburg to enjoy the Hamburg Harbour Birthdays.

Note: Wind and weather can affect the trip. We reserve the right to adjust the itinerary in the event of unforeseen circumstances.

  3. Oilskins are not necessary, but a good rainproof jacket, rain trousers and sturdy shoes are always good. Be it for hiking, cycling or helping on deck.
  4. Don't forget sunglasses, a sun hat or cap and sun cream, even when the sun is not visible you can get quite burnt.
  5. A good book for a bit of solitude or a good parlour game to play together with your fellow sailors.
  6. A camera! So that you can capture your memories and share them with those at home.
  7. Cash, because here you can only pay your drinks bill in cash. But also think about the currency of the country you are travelling to so you can buy a souvenir.

Tips

Good to know: We have two types of cabins on the Antigua: the standard cabins with bunk beds, shower and toilet and the spacious comfort cabins with separate single beds, shower and toilet. There are therefore two different cabin prices on the Antigua. Would you like to travel alone and not share a cabin? Then you can book a single supplement, which corresponds to the normal cruise price + 50%.
