- Stockholm - Stockholm
- 20.07.2022h 20:00h - 27.07.2022 09:00h
- € 980,-

On the day of arrival, you will be warmly welcomed by our crew on the Artemis. The ship is moored in Stockholm. Just getting to the Artemis is an adventure.

The captain will plan a beautiful journey based on the current weather reports.

If you still have time in Stockholm, you can experience a real time travel. If you are interested in shipping history, it is worth visiting the shipping museum Vasamuseum. There you will find the well-preserved 17th century warship Vasa, which sank on its maiden voyage in 1628. Or are you interested in music history? Then you can experience a journey through time at the ABBA museum. Stockholm has something for everyone.

The first night you will sleep wonderfully with full anticipation of the first real day of sailing.
We sail along the archipelago of Sweden. It is part of the largest archipelago in Sweden. There are about 24,000 islands. Not all of which are inhabited, of course. Imagine the Artemis in the middle of this archipelago - pure relaxation! You will not soon forget the peace and untouched nature.

On this sailing trip, you may pass one or two lighthouses. A very famous one stands at sea, the Almagrundet lighthouse.

We will hopefully visit the island of Åland, which consists of 6,500 islands and is a special part of Finland in the middle of the Baltic Sea. Mariehamn, the capital of Åland, is the starting point of our visit. This small harbour town welcomes you with its picturesque wooden houses and cute cafés where you can enjoy coffee and cake on their summer terraces. Mariehamn is best explored on foot.

A very special ship for shipping, and therefore also for us, is moored in the harbour here. The Pommern, a four-masted sailing ship, is anchored in the western harbour. Right next to the maritime museum. The Pommern was built in 1903 and is one of the Flying P liners. Just like the Peking, which is now moored in Hamburg.

Besides the beautiful island of Marieham, there are countless other small harbours that we will visit or we will look for a quiet bay to anchor in.
After a beautiful journey, it is time to say goodbye to the crew and fellow passengers after breakfast on the last morning. One thing is for sure, you won't forget this trip in a hurry. For who can say that you will discover the area by sailing as earlier sailors did.

Artemis

The triple masted barque Artemis is a beautiful example of maritime tradition. The ship was built in Norway in 1926 as a whaler. Then she served as a freighter transporting goods between Asia and South-America. Since 2001 the Artemis returned to sail in european waters, honouring the great maritime tradition of the Netherlands.

The same maritime character contiues inside the ship. The Artemis has a stylish timber paneled salon with a typical ship bar and 2nd salon above decks with lovely sea views. The 16 comfortable cabins are finished in mahogany. Each cabin is fitted out with a bunk bed and has an en  bathroom with toilet and shower.

The perfect sail characteristics of the ship in combination with the comfort and luxury on board make the Artemis much loved by our guests.
