On the day of your arrival, you will be greeted by our crew on the Artemis. The ship is located in a small suburb of the seafaring city of Kiel. The journey to the Artemis is an adventure in itself. The Artemis is moored at the quay in Kiel-Holtenau. Passing by, you can see large container ships coming out of the NOK lock.

The first night you will sleep wonderfully with full anticipation of the first real day of sailing.
In the morning it's "Cast off!" We set course for our final destination Stockholm.

Along Laboe we pass Fehmarn, where you will have the German coast in sight for the last time. A nice first destination can be Bornholm. A small Danish island whose landscape was shaped by the Ice Age. Very famous here are the rock carvings of Allinge-Sanvig. 10 nautical miles, or 18 km, northeast of the town of Gudhjem on the island of Bornholm lies the small group of the Pea Islands. A good 30 hectares of barren nature and the southernmost part of the Baltic archipelago. Consisting of the three rocky islands Christiansø, Frederiksø, Græsholm and some skerries and rocks, they are the easternmost point of Denmark. Christiansø, the largest of the islands and often the eponym of the entire archipelago, and Frederiksø are inhabited. Just under 100 people live there. The other small islands are used as bird sanctuaries. If we have finally had enough of Denmark. Possible ports of call are Karlskrona or Kalmar, both of which can be nice ports to spend the night. Where you can stretch your legs in the evening with an evening walk. If the weather permits, a crossing via Kalmarsund, the waterway between Sweden and the island of Öland, is possible. Here it takes us under the Öland Bridge, the fixed link between Öland and Sweden along the beautiful Swedish coast with dreamy fishing villages and small bays. When we have passed the waterway, there is the possibility of a stopover in Visby, this is a town on the west coast of the Swedish Baltic Sea island of Gotland.  From here we get closer and closer to the archipelago of Sweden and thus to our destination port of Stockholm. If you still have time in Stockholm, you can experience a real journey through time. If you are interested in shipping history, it is worth visiting the shipping museum Vasamuseum. There you will find the well-preserved 17th century warship Vasa, which sank on its maiden voyage in 1628. Or are you interested in music history? Then you can experience a journey through time at the ABBA museum. Stockholm has something to offer for everyone. After a beautiful journey, it is time to say goodbye to the crew and fellow passengers on the last morning after breakfast. The captain will plan a beautiful voyage based on the current weather reports. But one thing is for sure, you will never forget this trip!

Note: Wind and weather conditions may significantly affect the trip. If unforeseen circumstances make it necessary, changes in the travel route can be made.

Artemis

The triple masted barque Artemis is a beautiful example of maritime tradition. The ship was built in Norway in 1926 as a whaler. Then she served as a freighter transporting goods between Asia and South-America. Since 2001 the Artemis returned to sail in european waters, honouring the great maritime tradition of the Netherlands.

The same maritime character contiues inside the ship. The Artemis has a stylish timber paneled salon with a typical ship bar and 2nd salon above decks with lovely sea views. The 16 comfortable cabins are finished in mahogany. Each cabin is fitted out with a bunk bed and has an en  bathroom with toilet and shower.

The perfect sail characteristics of the ship in combination with the comfort and luxury on board make the Artemis much loved by our guests.
